This policy explains how TicoSubscribe handles information related to the public website, merchant conversations, and verified Shopify webhook intake.
Scope and legal basis
TicoSubscribe is being developed for merchants operating in Costa Rica and is intended to align with Costa Rica's personal-data framework, including Ley No. 8968 and related regulations.
At this stage, TicoSubscribe primarily acts as a public-facing service and technical endpoint. Merchants remain responsible for their own legal basis to collect and use customer data in Shopify.
Data we may process
- Basic website interaction and request metadata.
- Shopify webhook payloads and related security headers sent to the service.
- Merchant contact details voluntarily shared during product conversations.
Purposes of processing
- Operate the website and keep the service available.
- Validate Shopify webhook authenticity using HMAC verification.
- Respond to merchant inquiries and prepare future service rollout.
